DESCRIPTION: Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., "992B" for the U.S. Military, 16 size, 21 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 6 positions and temperature, nickel plate movement marked "U.S. Army", with lever escapement, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws and whiplash micrometric regulator in a base metal, screw back and bezel open face case with ordnance department information on back and Montgomery Arabic numeral, double sunk, white enamel dial, blued steel spade and poker hands, serial #C9926, c1940.
CONDITION: CASE: Two shallow dents, back; Tiny dings, band; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Bow and crown with wear. DIAL: Short spider hairline, edge, 11:30; Tiny flake at center of seconds bit. HANDS: Loss to blue; Seconds hand missing, tube still on pivot. MOVEMENT PLATES: Scattered fine scratches on plate; Short scratch on barrel bridge near case screw; Regulator assembly with faint specks of oxide; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
